Petersburg's assistant director of development services. The show does not deal with zoning but instead uses the term for projects that take a structure built for one purpose and turn it into something completely different. The company is installing production facilities at a fifth Ninilchik pad the Ninilchik state pad. “We’re also drilling a second well in that pad in June and we have an additional well to be drilled on another pad this year” Barnes said. Gas storageTo flatten out production peaks and troughs between high winter natural gas demand and lower demand in the summer Marathon has obtained a state gas storage lease for the Sterling formation pool 6 C1 and C2 sands of the Kenai gas field the company is injecting its gas into the storage facility during periods of low demand and will extract gas from the facility when demand is high. “We began gas injection May 8 the day we signed the lease with the state of Alaska” Barnes said. The lease only applies to state subsurface land within the field. But the field consists of a complex mix of state and private land there are extensive homestead land holdings in the area and these land holdings include the subsurface rights. Marathon is still working on unitizing the gas storage Barnes explained… A postage stamp tariff arrangement a constant tariff rate regardless of the gas input or delivery points on the line has also been approved for the Beluga line. Barnes said that there has already been some north to south gas flow on the Beluga line. “We’re hopeful that we’ll see another shipper actually start moving some additional gas volumes on it” Barnes said. Economics and the LNG plantIn response to a question about the future of the LNG plant at Nikiski Barnes said that the future of that plant is linked to the future success or failure of the Cook Inlet gas industry as a whole. Marathon owns a 30 percent interest in the plant which will require a new export license in 2009. “If there’s a strong industry and the ability to develop reserves and resources to meet the local needs as well as to continue to run that plant our preference would clearly be to continue to operate the plant for a lot of reasons” Barnes said. ” It’s nice to have that plant running because it shares the cost of the infrastructure.

Plus Rossi added the United States doesn’t have control of the product production process or proprietary information on its orders. Seeing the necessity of such control the military began looking at domestic options. “They had a bunch of TNT in storage stocks and it got to the point that they said ‘Uh-oh the stocks are low’ and started asking questions” Rossi said. “Do we want to buy TNT from other countries or do we want to manufacture it domestically?”The choice was clear. Production halted in 1986In 2003 ATK — or Alliant Techsystems — the civilian contractor that operates the Radford plant for the Army received a $130 million contract to produce TNT over five years. ATK then turned around to invest more than $24 million to improve and modernize production equipment into a TNT facility that had not been used since 1986. Sixty new employees were also added to ATK’s plant staff… In addition to eyeing future markets ATK also is eyeing future energetics material. Lemon said that in the next year or so the TNT facility could be used to manufacture ICE or insensitive common explosives. Developed by one of Alliant Ammunition and Energetics’ sister companies ICE is less sensitive to accidental or ill-intentioned detonation and could eventually replace TNT. “ATK’s forward-looking design approach allows us to convert the facility into a production line capable of producing insensitive TNT or other advanced energetics as they are developed” Mark DeYoung senior vice president of ATK and president of ATK Ammunition Group said in an announcement on the company’s Web site. Navy and other services need energetic materials that deliver the effectiveness of existing technologies yet are far less likely to accidentally detonate when exposed to hostile conditions.

Putting the home into a trust at this stage in the game won’t help your mother’s property tax situation. Q: I’ve recently accepted a job offer that requires me to relocate to Columbus Ohio. The company is providing 100 percent of the relocation expense and corporate housing and storage of my property for the first month. I’ve earned considerable equity since purchasing the home which is financed with a 5-year ARM at 5 percent. With mortgage and taxes my monthly payments are around $1730. My question is this should I sell the house and invest the proceeds or hire a property management company and rent out the half-plex? – Wayne Elk Grove Calif.
