Fortunately they changed just in time and I was able to get out of the way legally, but it can be very intimidating when you have nowhere to go other than across the junction. Last week, after having witnessed a white van deliberately moving down the outside of a traffic queue, cutting in at the front and then driving aggressively afterwards, I felt I had to contact the company in question. I pointed out that my perception of their company was not good because of its driver’s behaviour. The company’s response has been excellent – it has a strict code of conduct that is rigorously enforced and it is going to question the driver involved. If you are fed up with such impolite antics, complain. We have the power to make our roads a safer place… I phoned the trader and he couldn’t believe it. He called back 15 minutes later and told me: “The car was stolen, recovered in November 2005 and has been in storage since at £17 plus VAT per day. ” I am told there is no panel damage, although it has two badly scuffed wheels. The damaged locks have been replaced. Price guides value the Focus at £7. 000 and the trader wants £4,800.
