WysDM announces latest data protection software suite

The additional new features in the WysDM 4 product suite include WysDM for Disks, which is a new product that joins the WysDM DPM suite to provide configuration and status information for disk arrays, allowing storage administrators to manage utilization metrics, balance LUN (logical unit number) allocations across array ports, and ensure fan-out ratios do not exceed vendors’ specifications, WysDM said. The new product suite also offers provisioning and capacity planning for fileservers, which reduces the time to provision storage from existing pools and significantly enhances storage utilization figures, the company said. The WysDM 4 product suite also offers unparalleled performance, scalability and security, which using the company’s experience with large enterprises with thousands of servers, has architected WysDM 4 to deliver maximum performance and security for even large data protection environments, WysDM said. The new product suite also offers support for a range of data protection applications, the company said.
